How to Break Bedrock in Bloxd (2024)

Three reliable approaches that work on most servers, plus a safe bypass if bedrock removal is disabled.

Play Bloxd Now

Prerequisites

  • Confirm bedrock rules: some servers explicitly forbid removal.
  • Bring a strong pickaxe, blocks, 10–20 TNT, pistons, and redstone (if allowed).
  • Back up your route and keep food/armor for cave detours.

Method A: Piston Update (Fastest)

  • Place a piston facing the bedrock.
  • Add a slab on the target block edge, power the piston, then update the slab.
  • If the server allows block-updates, the bedrock pops; repeat for each block.

Method B: TNT Overlap

  • Dig a 2×2 shaft. Place TNT one block above bedrock.
  • Use a piston to nudge TNT across a chunk border, then ignite.
  • Success chance ~25%. Carry extra TNT; patch holes afterward.

Method C: Bypass (No Admin Needed)

  • When removal is disabled, dig laterally to side caves or ravines.
  • Place ladders/water to create a safe vertical route around the layer.
  • Link the route to /spawn or portals for quick travel.

Common Errors & Fixes

  • Piston does nothing: server disables updates. Switch to TNT or bypass.
  • TNT damages builds: set up blast shields with water or obsidian.
  • Falling into void: crouch near edges; carry ender pearls or ladders.
